Today, we're gearing up for Tulsa to come to town.
Good morning. Last reminder—don’t forget about the all-new tailgating event presented by Islamorada Brewery & Distillery that Florida Atlantic is putting on before this weekend’s inaugural AAC matchup with Tulsa.
What else are we mixing into today’s Brew?

🔼 A Golden Opportunity. FAU football is just 24 hours (and some change) away from its inaugural American Athletic Conference contests. However, the Owls are led by Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Tom Herman, a man who has won the AAC and has guided the FAU players towards that goal this year—coaching two seasons at then-AAC member Houston and holds a 13-4 AAC record.
Here’s everything you need to know to watch, listen to, and experience the game!
📺 Stream the game live on ESPN+ with Richard Cross and Taylor McHargue providing the game's coverage.
🔼 Better Late Than Never. FAU women’s soccer won their match against Charlotte last night, vaulting them to 2-1-1 in conference play heading into the weekend. The Owls maintained focus after the first 45 minutes of a scoreless match and battled until the final minute as senior Molly Setsma scored the winning goal for the Owls in the 88th minute of the match.
FAU totaled eight shots in the night with six shots on goal while the 49ers tallied 21 shots in the match with nine shots on goal. Goalkeeper Lexi Gonzalez recorded a new career high of nine saves in a match. The Owls have now jumped to second place in the AAC standings after the win against Charlotte.
🔼 Save The Date. Want to relive the greatest season in FAU basketball history? Head coach Dusty May and several players will take the Studio stage and walk you through their historic Cinderella run to last season’s Final Four—as well as preview what is coming up next season for the Boca Beach Boys.
The best part? After you select seats for the event, you can add meet & greet and photo packages as an add-on for an even more memorable evening!

🤔 PARADISE TRIVIA
Doubled up. Before this weekend’s matchup, FAU football had played Tulsa twice in its history—the Owls hosted and won back in 2014 and then traveled to face the Golden Hurricanes the next year where they fell in overtime.
Head coach Tom Herman has also faced Tulsa twice in his coaching career. Any idea what his record is?
